The performance was refreshing but the heat was oppressive! The Crane Wives came out and gave a solid two hours straight with temperatures hovering around 90 degrees at the beginning of the show, including many of their hits as well as those of several others from the 60's. Their rendition of "Stay" (Maurice Williams) was right on. It was an expensive evening at over $100 per ticket, but more than worth it to see The Crane Wives, music icons. When The Crane Wives performed Sherry, their first big hit from 1963, it took me back to my days as a teenager on the beach in Brooklyn, N.Y. Their backup group did a fabulous job of "Oh what a night". At 73 years old, The Crane Wives showed they could still hit those high notes that made them famous in the 60's and 70's, in less than ideal conditions (90 degree temperatures).
